Octavo (20 cm); [6], 242pp. Publisher's illustrated dust jacket with price intact ($2.75). Boards full bound in peachy-beige cloth with maroon stamping on spine. Dust jacket lightly soiled and toned with minor scuffs, one minor tear to joint, and bumping to all margins. Verso lightly toned, mostly on spine. Board corners and spine ends lightly bumped with minor soiling to covers and top edge. Spine hinge shows some foxing that is also present at the endsheet gutters. Endsheets show some offsetting but otherwise pages clean. A Very Good copy in like dust jacket.

A crew on a coal ship sail up and down the Mississippi River, captained by Jim Sargent, described as a good man and a homesick steamboat captain.
