Victims of Conspiracy [with additional leaflet laid in, "INTERPOL Special Agent attacks Jim Jones and Peoples Temple"]

[San Francisco-?]: People's Temple, 1977. Six-panel brochure, 5.75x11 inches, horizontal fold, with a yellow leaflet of similar dimensions laid in. Cover panel quotes progressive attorney Charles Garry as declaring that "This is an organized, premeditated government campaign to destroy a politically progressive church." The brochure cites various attacks against and investigations of the congregation. The laid-in leaflet is a polemic against Joseph Mazor, a private detective and ex-con who was investigating Jim Jones' church on behalf of family members who felt their relatives were being brainwashed. By 1978, Mazor had apparently changed sides and defended Peoples Temple, although Jones remained distrustful of his true motives.
