Watson's response to Lentz's autograph request was written eight years after his receipt (with Francis Crick) of the 1962 Nobel Prize for their pioneering work on the structure of DNA, and just two years after the publication of THE DOUBLE HELIX and his appointment as director of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. 11'' x 8.5''.
