Bound in pebbled dark blue cloth with titles stamped in red on front board and spine. Red top-stain. Mapped end-papers. Cover design and five interior b&w illustrations, including frontispiece, by John Coleman Burroughs. Square, tight and clean throughout with fairly mild wear to spine ends bottom edge and tips. A miniscule nick at the crown. A hint of off-setting from the jacket flaps on the end-papers. Bottom edge of cloth has some black off-setting, likely from an old jacket protector. Very attractive dust-jacket, ($2.00 on the spine panel), has mild edge-wear and tiny nicks at the top tips, Very mild toning and a couple of barely noticeable surface creases. Fresh and bright.
