Finger für Deutschland, 27.8.80 – 11.10.80 Düsseldorf
- Düsseldorf, 1980
Düsseldorf, 1980. Minor fading to printed orange wrappers, else near fine. Scarce, with a single OCLC record located in North America (Getty).. First Edition. Slim quarto. Published on the occasion of the third in a series of “extraordinary audio-visual events,” initiated by Kippenberger in 1979 at his Berlin Büro space; this installment held at Jörg Immendorff’s Düsseldorf studio, with musical portion at Ratinger Hof. In addition to Kippenberger and Immendorff, participating artists included Peter Bömmels, Werner Büttner, Walther Dahn, Markus Oehlen, Albert Oehlen, Brigitta Rohrbach, and Elvira Werschke, each of whom contributed double-paged spreads to the catalogue. This copy includes the loose xerographic manifesto from Büttner, in German, articulating the concept of the series, and its origins with “a man in Berlin (his name is irrelevant).” (Koch 6).
