A splendid set of the four stunning books created by Lou Scheper-Berkenkamp, one of the most important women graduates of the Bauhaus. After studying at the Bauhaus with Feininger and Klee among others, she worked on various theatrical productions with Oskar Schlemmer. However, her most important legacy is these four stunning children's books, all of which are of great rarity. In the U.S., copies of the first are at Smith, Princeton and Penn State. No one has the second, and only Princeton has copies of the third and fourth.
