The traditional Chinese calendar operates on a sexagenary cycle and is not easily translated into a Gregorian date. With the increase of trade between China and the west, a handy reference for conversion was essential. The compiler first produced a table for the use of American Immigration agents, then expanded it into this 100-year calendar for the general public. Newberry and Huntington only in OCLC.
