Mexico City: October 10, 1882. Very good.. [1]pp. Folio. Minor wear, faint fold lines. An exceedingly rare decree from President Manuel González of Mexico, announcing the yearly wage for the Mexican delegate to the American consulate in Tombstone, Arizona. The $1,500 allocated to this position was meant to be in addition to what it currently paid. Tombstone is located just 30 miles outside of the border of Sonora, Mexico. It is famous for being considered one of the last frontier towns of the United States where a group of cattle rustlers known as The Cowboys would sell cattle they had stolen from ranches in Sonora. This document was issued one year after the famous shootout between The Cowboys and the Earp brothers. None in OCLC.
