Original white program, with side-by-side photos of Yankee Stadium in 1923 and 1973 to front wrapper, chart of standout Yankees on inside, and Old Timers' Day schedule to rear wrapper. Very good, with some fold-lines, general creasing, and minor splitting to fold line at foot of spine. This program was for the NY Yankees Old Timers' Days on August 11, 1973, a particularly notable event as it celebrated Yankee Stadium's 50th year. According to the program, "some 65 former and present Yankee Stars have been brought together to salute the glorious history of the New York Yankees on the occasion of the Stadium's 50th anniversary with at least one player representing each of the 50 years between 1923 (when the stadium opened) through 1972." Whitey Ford played all sixteen years of his career with the Yankees (1950, 1953-67), and helped the team win six World Series titles. He was a ten-time All-Star and holds numerous Yankees records, including career wins, shutouts, and games started. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974, along with his close friend and teammate, Mickey Mantle. Yogi Berra played eighteen seasons with the New York Yankees, winning an incredible ten World Series titles and three AL MVP awards. Off the field, Berra was known for his wise and humorous "Yogi-isms," some of which include: "It ain't over til it's over," "it's déjà vu all over again," and "the future ain't what it used to be." Recognized as one of the greatest catchers of all-time, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972. Other signees include 8x All-Star and 5x Gold Glove winner Bob Richardson, 5x All-Star and 1x Gold Glove award-winner Bobby Murcer, 4x All-Star and 3x World Series champion Tony Kubek, 3x All-Star and 1x Cy Young award-winner Bob Turley, and 2x World Series champion Don Larsen, whose best remembered feat was pitching the only perfect game in MLB postseason history (Game 5 of the 1956 World Series).. Signed. First Edition. Original Wraps. Near Fine.
