Publisher's green boards, with front board and spine stamped in dark green; in its original pictorial dust jacket, lettered in green and white. Very good book, with some toning to spine and edges, and light wear to spine ends; about fine unclipped dust jacket, with just some light wear and shallow chipping to spine ends, and a very small closed tear to top of rear panel. Overall, a great multi-signed copy. As the book's jacket flap blurb states, "Here it is: the story - told in John Durant's familiar informal and anecdotal style - the pictures; many never before published photographs and cartoons; and the complete records since 1903 of THE YANKEES - Baseball's Greatest Club." As a player, Phil Rizzuto was an excellent defensive shortstop, who earned five All-Star selections and helped the Yankees win seven World Series titles. After his playing career ended, he spent 40 years in the booth as a Yankees commentator, known for his famous phrase "holy cow!" Frank Crosetti, also a Yankees shortstop, won an incredible 17 World Series titles with the Yankees as a player (x8) and coach (x9) combined and participated in 23 World Series matches. Tom "The Clutch" Henrich was a five-time World Series champion, with some legendary plays to his name, like stealing first on a catcher error that would have been the game sealing strike (1941, Game 4 vs Dodgers) and hitting the first walk-off home run in a World Series game (1949, Game 1 vs Dodgers).
