Twentieth Century Fox. No binding. About Fine. [Los Angeles: 20th Century Fox, 1962]. Vintage original 8 x 10" (20 x 25 cm) black-and-white glossy silver gelatin photo. On verso is typed credit for prominent Hollywood photographer Edith Dahlfield, who shot many stars including Sharon Tate. Full studio text on bottom front margin, about fine.

This image of a happy Marilyn Monroe appears to have been released early in anticipation of her upcoming film Something's Got to Give, now amongst the most famous of unfinished films (with Monroe having been fired, then re-hired, and finally passing away before much of her work had been completed). The image is actually a costume test of Monroe modeling a bathing suit, which she would lose for her famous nude pool romp.

Photo coded 65/4.
