An Improbable Adventure

  • USA: Robert M. McBride and Company, 1926
By Thorne Smith

First Edition/First Printing; A Very Good book in a Near Fine Original Dust Jacket. An exceptionally well preserved copy of this title, basis for multiple screen and stage adaptations; uncommon in the first printing, rare in the original jacket. This copy is in Very Good condition with a square, tight binding, bright gold lettering over clean red boards (mild fading to the spine lettering), and clean pages throughout with minor age-toning to the page edges; some light rubbing to the spine ends and edges, and mild off-setting to the free papers also present. Housed in a Near Fine Original clean and crisp dust jacket that has benefitted from some expert restoration to the verso (invisible externally) with only some mild age-toning to the edges and light rubbing to the corners, else fine. Overall, a highly presentable and collectible copy of a rare title in jacket. Not remaindered, not price-clipped ($2.00 net intact), not ex-library; in a protective Mylar cover and will ship securely wrapped in a sturdy box.
