First (and only) edition of this artists' book in anthology form from the highly-regarded residency program that has hosted the likes of Dan Graham, Phillip Glass, John Cage, Richard Serra, Steve Reich, Vito Acconci, Janet Fish, Richard Kostelanetz, Bill T. Jones, Nam June Paik, and numerous others. Organized in order of residency, each artist was asked to contribute four pages for inclusion. With no other requirements, the contributions include art, notes, drafts, sketches, poetry, photography and other documents. Also includes much on the program itself: histories, photos, bibliographies of performances, exhibitions, etc. A major and important document. Scarce. OCLC locates 16 copies, with many major institutions lacking. 8.5'' x 10.5''. Original steel-band brad-bound printed wrappers. Offset duplicated throughout. "172" penned to top corner (likely from a limitation of 500; we've handled several of these, all thus individually numbered). Mild edgewear, scuffing, soil. Toning to edges. Near fine. 400+ pages, inconsistently numbered.
