Illustrated by a photograph of his superrealist sculpture Self-Portrait with Model. Hanson lived about an hour's drive outside of West Palm Beach in Davie, Florida; a year later, he would tour Japan with the exhibition "Hyper-Realist Sculpture of Duane Hanson.
