A very good, tight copy. Uncommon. Hannah Elizabeth Bradbury Goodwin Talcott (1827 – 1893) was a novelist and educator. She wrote under several names (H. B., H. E. B., H. B. G., Mrs. H. B. Goodwin, and Mrs. Goodwin-Talcott) and published eleven novels. Her other publications included Sherbrooke (1866), which was a popular success, and Dr. Howell's Family (1869), her most critically acclaimed work. She served as the principal of the Charlestown Female Seminary in Massachusetts and wrote educational essays on art and culture for her students. During the last fifteen years of her life, she. was closely associated with Wellesley College, serving as a member of the board of trustees and of the executive committee.
