James Dean [James Dean: An Invented Life] (Original screenplay for the 2001 television film)

Beverly Hills, CA: Turner Films, Inc, 2000. Revised Draft script for the 2000 television film, here under the working title "James Dean: An Invented Life," copy belonging to uncredited prop maker Chris Scher, with the manuscript marker annotation of "Chris" and copy number "#97" on the front wrapper and a "Propmaker / Chris Scher / Script" label on the script's first leaf. Laid in are four gatherings of revisions, three of which have a Scher label as described above. Bound in, preceding the script is a three page goldenrod memo, dated 6/8/2000.

The four revision gatherings are: 23 pages of buff revisions, dated 6/12/2000. Twelve pages of salmon (truncated) revisions, dated 6/16/2000. Six pages of cherry revisions, dated 6/27/2000. And seven pages of ivory revisions, dated 07/27/2000. All revision gatherings are bound by a single staple at the top left corner and are preceded by a Turner Films memo.

James Franco stars as James Dean, chronicling his troubled life from a struggling actor to an A-list film star. Winner of two Primetime Emmy Awards including Best Supporting Actor for Michael Moriarty, and nominated for nine others.

Chris Scher has worked in American films from 1994 to the present. She was a propmaker, construction accountant/estimator/buyer, and carpenter on over 20 movies, including "The Last Seduction" (1994), "Pulp Fiction" (1994), "From Dusk Till Dawn" (1994), "The Horse Whisperer (1998), "Joy Ride" (2001), and others. She also performed the same work for prestige television dramas, including "The Bridge" (2014), "Ozark" (2017), and "Yellowstone" (2018).
