Roughly the first half of the book is the historical look at previous English Queens' Coronations, with the second half devoted to the then-current "Great Day": background on the Royal Family, preparations for the day-of, and numerous photos of the event itself and surrounding festivities. Although one tends to think of QEII Coronation memorabilia as fairly common -- there were, after all, SO many celebratory publications issued in connection with her ascent to the throne, and everybody saved them, right? -- for whatever reason this particular one seems to be somewhat scarce. .
