The other photographs taken by Agate's husband William Agate. "Margaret Agate kept a diary of her journey in Egypt between Autumn 1901 and Spring 1902. She made an excursion on the Nile and visited Khartoum before traveling to Damascus via Mount Sinai. She finished her travels by visiting Smyrna and Athens." (Thakstone, Victorian and Edwardian Travelers, page 3). Beautifully illustrated with b/w photographs by William Agate, with printed tissue guards. Light wear along edges of binding. Previous owners' names inked to front free endpaper. Starting at frontispiece, lower two thirds.
