Admiral Halsey's Story (Signed First Printing)
- SIGNED
- USA: Whittlesey House, 1947
First Edition/First Printing; A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket. SIGNED by Admiral William "Bull" Halsey to his portrait page, opposite the title page. An outstanding copy of this memoir by the Fleet Admiral and Commander of the 3rd Fleet during Pacific theater operations in WWII, only one of four officers to hold the five-star Fleet Admiral rank. This title scarce in the first printing, particularly signed by Admiral Halsey. The book is in near fine condition with a few small spots to the spine and light rubbing to the edges; housed in a clean and bright very good dust jacket that shows some moderate rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and edges with a few accompanying short closed tears. Overall, a presentable and collectible copy of an important addition to any Naval or Pacific Theater collection. Not remaindered, not price-clipped, not ex-library; in a protective Mylar cover and will ship securely wrapped in a sturdy box.
