The author, a noted poet with a longstanding interest in China, recommends an exhibition in New York that introduces Chinese culture to Americans, and takes the opportunity to note that American businessmen damage the reputation of the US by dealing unfairly with Chinese buyers. Bynner went on to settle in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he is buried with his longtime partner Bob Hunt at the house which now serves as the president's home for St. John's College.
