Andrei Bubnov (1883 - 1938) was a Bolshevik and military leader, politician, member of the Left Opposition, and People's Commissar of Education. During Stalin's Great Purge he would be accused of being an enemy of th epeople and a German spy, arrested, sentensed to death, and shot.
