by Forrest, Earle R.
Norman, OK: University of Oklahoma Press, 1970. First Edition. 274pp. Duodecimo [20 cm] Yellow cloth with the title on the backstrip. Very good/Very good. Jacket is price clipped. This work details Forrest's wanderings among the Southern Utes and the Navajos that Forrest took in 1902, while on summer break. He travelled to a Navajo Indian trading post in New Mexico, and stayed there for a month taking photographs of the people coming and going. It was during this expedition that Forrest took what is believed to have been the first photograph ever of Ship Rock on the Navajo Reservation. Nicer than ususally seen copy of this work.
