Octavo; full brown moracco, stamped decorations in blind with tilting in gilt on the boards; with raised bands, decorations stamped in blind, and horizontal gilt titling on the spine; pages are edge in gilt; with marbled end papers; bound by Josiah Westley; xvi 1-432; some of the leather has been worn, particularly to the edges and raised bands on the spine; minor stains to some of the pages but nothing affecting the text; the hinges have been professionally repaired. ~~Filled with eye catching wood-engravings by William Dickes, known for his specialization in illustrating books on natural history his attention to details for botanicals and biology are highlighted in this book. Good binding.
