Chicago / Newark / Los Angeles: Luminall Paints, 1950. Very good. Advertising brochure, n. d. (1950s); 8 1/2 x 7; pp. [4]; pictorial wraps with a silhouette of the Eiffel Tower in white, purple, and green; 15 square sample chips in bright, brilliant colors; generally very mild wear - a faint spot from a removed bookshop label to back wrap; one of th echips with a tiny scratch; in very good or better condition. A lovely advertising and sample catalog, it showcased some of the casein colors offered by Luminall Paints in the 1950s. Casein paint, derived from milk casein (protein) is known for drying to an even consistency, with a matte finish, which visually resembles oil painting. The pamphlet reads: "Just as the Eiffel Tower is known to the four corners of the world as a symbol of Paris, so are Luminall Casein Colors known world-wide for their richness and purity of color, for true color value, for smoothness and ease of painting."
