St. Johnsbury, VT: C. T. Ranlet, Printer, 1890. Very good. First edition presumed, n. d. (late 19th- / early 20th- c.); oblong 3 1/2 x 5 1/2; pp. [8]; glossy wraps, illustrated with a portrait; minor wear to edges and margins - in very good to near fine condition. Partly a short history of the life and work of Marie Reitinger, the pamphlet also appealed to church leaders for donations towards $400 for her salary. Marie Reitinger was born in Hungary and immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1886, teaching at the Bethlehem Bible and Missionary Training School, where young women were prepared for missionary work and working with the large Bohemian community in the area, as part of the Women's Home Missionary Union (W.
