Chicago: Tarbell System, Incorporated, 1927. Hardcover. Good. Post & string-bound sheets between cloth-covered boards, 10-1/2" x 7-1/2" x 4-1/2" thick. Discoloration to covers, first and last sheets loosening, but certainly a good copy of one of the most important magic references ever produced. Tarbell was 1st and 3rd choice (Harry Houdini was 2nd choice; the first choice was Tarbell & Walter Baker, but Baker backed out) to produce this book which was republished in five volumes (later expanded to eight with new contributors, when Louis Tannen bought the rights in 1941.)
