[10], 408 pp. Marbled edges, marble paper pastedown on boards, and marble endpapers. Decorative bookplate on FEP. Rebacked, with original spine preserved and re-mounted. That spine has fairly elaborate gilt decoration, the gilt now faded. The calf on the spine has also darkened. The calf on the boards is rubbed and discolored in a number of places, but it is mostly the same shade of brown as it was originally. Foxing throughout, ranging from light to heavy. While there are many leaves not blighted by foxing, this copy overall comes across as somewhat grubby.
