xviii, 222 pp. Bound in publisher's Japon paper-covered boards, spine blocked in red and stamped in gilt, red topstain. Very Good with toning, light wear, and slight bowing to boards. Faint foxing to endpapers, light toning throughout, ink mark (apparently from same pen used for signatures) to fore edge of textblock. In a Good dust jacket with light edgewear, toning, and soiling, tape reinforcement to foldline at right of spine panel, and sticker residue to front panel. A remarkable copy of this biography, signed by Swedish astronomer and Nobel Board member Bertil Lindblad plus 23 Laureates. The signatures were collected at the Nobel Hall of Science dedication in May 1963. Twenty-six Nobel Laureates were present, of whom only William P. Murphy, Edward A. Doisy, and Edward C. Kendall did not sign this book. A great collection of signatures from some of the greatest names in the history of science.
