First edition; 8 1/2 x 5 1/2; pp. 3-63, [1]; pictorial wraps by Mykola Bytynskyi; mild age-toning to margins and a few tiny nicks to edges; in very good condition. Stepan Kovalskyi (1893 - 1981) was a Ukrainian poet, who fought with the UNR army, before immigrating - first to Germany, then to Canada, where he continued writing and working on the editorial board of "Svitannia" magazine. The wraps of the book were created by Mykola Bytynskyi (1893 - 1972) - poet, art historian, illustrator, painter, and graphic designer. He also participated in the UNR struggles, then spent time in DP camps in Germany before immigrating to Canada.
