Istanbul ve Boğaziçi is a monumental study of Istanbul's Byzantine and Ottoman heritage. Mehmed Ziya (1866-1930), Ottoman historian and preservationist, is best remembered for his extensive documentation of Istanbul's architectural and cultural heritage. The work is richly illustrated with rare photographs captured by Ziya himself during his work with the Eski Eserler Encümeni, alongside earlier engravings and plans.
