By SNOW, Dash
New York: Self-published, 2005. Loose folded sheets, lacking the original binding band, with minor rubbing to spine-fold; close to fine. An early association copy; scarce, with no OCLC records located.. First Edition. Octavo. Hand-numbered as copy 22 of 25 and INSCRIBED by Snow to title page: "For King Solomon. From the Snowman. 2005 August 05." One of Dash Snow's first photozines, exhibiting 97 of his most recent Polaroids; "the pictures in this were taken in may and june of 2005." Something like the obverse to his graffiti writing—paint can in one hand, camera in the other—Snow's Polaroids are here paired in two-page spreads, generating evocative tableaux of post-9/11 New York. This copy notably inscribed by Snow to fellow IRAK graffiti crew member King Solomon. Contents: [100] pp. of color xerography on glossy sheets, with Polaroid reproductions interspersed with matchstick texts and collaged detritus (e.g. hair, razorblades).
