It includes an appendix on alternative fibers by Winifred Lutz. The idea of the book was encouraged by Henry Morris of the Bird and Bull Press, which first published an early version book in a limited edition as 'Nagashizuki: the Japanese Craft of Hand Papermaking' (1979).
