A beautiful portfolio with six loose transformation passepartouts to accompany a booklet with six fairy tales. [2], 18 pp. The stories include Cinderella, Snow White, The Sleeping Princess, Thumbelina, The Three Gifts and The Tale of Princess Starry Rose. The booklet and six passepartouts all housed in a portfolio. Visible image size: (9 1/2 x 7 1/8 inches; 242 x 180 mm). Mount size: (13 1/8 x 10 1/2 inches; 332 x 268 mm). Booklet size: (11 7/8 x 9 inches; 289 x 227 mm).
Booklet is self-bound. Title-page with a small dampstain and leaves a bit toned. The stitching is loose but all pages are still together. The portfolio is full black cloth with front board covered in a pictorial paper label. Front label, printed in full color and gilt. Front board a bit rubbed along edges. With newer red silk ties. The six passepartouts are beautiful full-color illustrations that when held up to the light reveal a secret additional image. These lovely transformations are each mounted between cardstock frames. Frames with a bit of toning, but illustrations are fine. Overall a very beautiful and well preserved group of transformation tablets.
