Fine, faint finger print smudge to rear of first blank, and small printer's blemish to pages 160-161; in a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light wear to crown and edges, sticker residue to front flap.The Japanese author's best-known novel, posthumously published in 1948, a mere month after the author's suicide at age 38. The striking jacket design was by Owen Scott, based on a color print by Kiyoshi Saito; uncommon in such beautiful condition.
