Underwood & Underwood, 1904. Hardcover. Complete set of 30 Yellowstone National Park stereoview photographs. Titled "Yellowstone National Park" the set includes thirty 3 1/2" x 7" curved double mount views of scenes in Yellowstone. Housed in the original publisher's 4" x 7 3/4" book-form case, with scarce accompanying 68-page text book & large folding color map. Each view is dated c.1904, sequentially numbered (1-30) and identified below the right hand image; the verso contains expansive information about each view. The images are generally very rich and in excellent condition. The book is in fine condition; the box is worn.

Yeloowstone National Park was established in 1872 by President Ulysses S. Grant, the first park to be established in the United States. Its unique natural resources attracted visitors from around the world and as a result of its growing popularity in 1894 members of the Boone and Crockett Club (including Theodore Roosevelt) were successful in carrying through the Park Protection Act, which saved the park.
