1830. ROGERS, Peter. Manner of forming the Alphabet for the Deaf and Dumb. Broadside. 360 x 310 mm. NP. ND. [1830s]. A handsome broadside showing the hand gestures equivalent to letters of the alphabet. The broadside is date 183 , the exact year to be filled in by hand. The broadside is inscribed " a l'ile penote pres St. Servan" , which presumably refers to the neighbourhood in Sables-d'Olonne in France. An incredibly rare broadside, of which we could find the only record in the 1896 Catalogue of Books in the Library of the Typothetae of the City of New York.
