Jakob Stilling (1842-1915) was a German ophthalmologist and professor at the University of Strassburg who invented pseudo-isochromatic charts called "Stilling's colour table," used in the diagnosis of colour blindness. This is the second edition, with 8 pages of plates, as opposed to only 2 in the first edition of 1880. The 2 plates called for in the text volume are not present. OCLC lists only 2 copies of this edition in the U.S. National Library of Medicine and Northwestern, and 5 copies in Europe.
