The subjects represented range in age from infant to elderly and are mostly unnamed. 1 says, "For Sammie", other named subjects are Mr. Warren Nunnamaker, Marie Halzgrefe, and Josephine Fillhaus. The portraits are largely 6 ½" x 4" with the print pasted onto stiff board decorated with the studio name. The largest are two in portfolios measuring 14" x 10". Studios represented include Thalhimer Bros, Homeier-Clark Studio, Colonial Studios, Old Dominion Gallery, The Carbon Studio, Vernon Gallery, W.W. Foster, Campbell & Co., Foster, Campbell & Co, New York Art Gallery, The Jefferson, & Anderson Gallery. The condition is generally good or very good. Damage includes minor spotting or tearing to edges. ~~One of the most interesting portraits depicts an anonymous seated young woman in an elaborate black dress with crutches and holding a posy. Her expression appears hopeful despite the photograph suggesting circumstances of injury and grief.~.
