Boards in brown leather, wear to spine caps, edges and corners, torn hinges, toning to spine, small surface tears. Text blocks have cracked hinges with first volume front panel almost detached, bookplate on front pastedowns. Illustrated: engraved portraits.There are no title pages or publisher information. Other than captions for portraits, there is no text other than “European Magazine” at top of each portrait. Each portrait’s caption identifies original source of engraving. Portraits of leading British political, religious, military, and cultural persons from initial years of nineteenth century.
