Jacket chipped at extremities, more so at corners with loss. The author's experience as the publisher of the Death Valley Chuck-Walla, furnished the author am excellent background for writing about the people and events of Death Valley and adjoining Nevada localities. Excellent descriptions of the old mining towns of Panamint, Darwin, Bullfrog, Rhyolite, Beatty, Greenwater, Harrisburg, Skidoo, and Leadville. Death Valley Scotty is featured as well as the old Greenland Ranch [Furnace Creek]. One of the finest books on Death Valley. Desert Voices p.64-65. Paher 692.
