On the premise that in many recipes, in which eggs were used, the number of them could be reduced by replacing them with baking powder, the booklet was published as an advertisement for the Royal Baking Powder Company and cleverly listed recipes "the old way" and "the new way" next to each other, where the new way used Royal Baking Powder in place of all, or most eggs called for in the recipes.
