2. The Nutcracker. Michael Hague. Sea Star Books, 2003. Fine in pictorial boards and a pictorial dust jacket. Illustration is of a crescent moon. Inscribed, but not dated.

3. Where Fairies Dance. Selected and Illustrated by Michael Hague. Harper Collins, 2004. Fine in pictorial boards and a pictorial dust jacket. Illustration is of a fairy on a mushroom, Inscribed and dated 2008.

4. The Book of Wizards. Selected and Illustrated by Michael Hague. Harper Collins, 2008. Fine in pictorial boards and a pictorial dust jacket. Illustration is a profile portrait of a wizard. Inscribed and dated 2008.

Overall a fine set of pristine first editions with wonderful signed original illustrations.

"Michael Hague is an American illustrator known for his work in children's fantasy. Born in 1948 in the United States, Hague has made a significant impact in the field of illustration. He was influenced by artists such as Prince Valiant, Disney, Hiroshige, Hokusai, Arthur Rackham, W. Heath Robinson, N. C. Wyeth, and Howard Pyle. Hague studied at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles." (Artnet).

Provenance: From the Dr. J. Robert and Alice R. Dornish collection. Dr. Dornish was a former professor of Children's Literature at Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA, and maintained a vast collection of children's books and original artwork. .
