[Feminism] [Comic] Wimmen's Comix, issues 1-10. 1972-85. Wimmen's Comix was a groundbreaking feminist comic book series first published from 1972-1992. It was created to offer a platform for female comic artists at a time when the comic industry was dominated by men. Archive of the first run of 10 comics in the series, each feature a variety of vibrant staple bound covers, heavily illustrated in black and white by different feminist artists and writers. Measures 7" x 10" each. Approximately 32 pages each. The first 10 issues were published by Last Gasp, a Berkeley founded publishing house of underground comics, before being turned over to other publishers. (truncated)
