Special SIGNED AND NUMBERED LIMITED EDITION, number 11 of only 17 copies " hand-llumined, specially bound and autographed by Elbert Hubbard II". Bound in three-quarter crushed blue Levant, hand-tooled in special inlay design at spine, marbled end papers, top edge gilt, ribbon marker, with superb title page and two-color initials throughout by an unnamed artist. and with the original Roycrofter sales ticket loosely overlapping front end paper, which notes "Bound by Schwartz". Lorenz (truncated) Schwartz (1876-1947) was a master bookbinder worked for Otto Zahn at both S.C. Toof and the Zahn Bindery, and ended his career at the Roycroft shop in 1928, making this copy likely one of the last books he worked on. A Fine copy, one of only 17 copies as such, a Roycrofter rarity in a lovely Schwartz binding. . (Inventory #: 010384)
