Hinges repaired, corners rounded, small chips, mostly in the margins of the plates, a worn, good copy, still a sound copy of a book rarely found intact or in original boards. Dedicated to many sports, but noted for its color plate of a baseball game. Chadwick was America's pre-eminent sportswriter and is considered the father of baseball. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1938 by the Veteran's Committee along with Alexander Cartwright. (Inventory #: 605466) (truncated)
