About very good with gentle rubbing to extremities, more so at corners. Hinges shaken with a few subtle discolorations to boards. James Stephen Brown (1828-1902) was a member of the Mormon Battalion who crossed the west and reached California in 1847. He was with James Marshall when he discovered gold at Sutter's Mill in 1848, which would lead to the California Gold Rush nearly a year later (it took a while for this information to reach and disseminate across the rest of America).
