Washington, N.J.: Levi Longcor, 1865. Unbound. Near Fine. Albumen print carte-de-visite. Image size 2.25" x 3.5" on slightly larger single-ruled card. Photographer identification on verso. Portrait of two unidentified men, one seated and holding a long rifle upright; and the other standing, wearing a GAR Medal, and holding an American flag. Both men are lacking their left arm. Considering the logical date of the men in the image, and the martial accouterments they bear, it seems reasonable to assume that both men lost a limb in the Civil War. A highly unusual image.
