First US Edition/18th Printing Stated (1950); A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket, with light rubbing to the board and panel edges, mild chipping to the spine ends and corners, minor sunning of the jacket spine, a sticker to the bottom of the front flap, ink markings that have been partially whited out to the front free paper, and a couple of short closed tears to the back panel edges. A handsome copy of this title, a classic apologetic work from the master of the genre, uncommon in the original jacket, particularly in this condition.
