Hakim Bey was the pen name of the American anarchist writer Peter Lamborn Wilson, best known for his concept of Temporary Autonomous Zones: short-lived spaces that exist outside formal structures of control. His theories inspired rave culture and influenced the Occupy and Black Lives Matter movements, most notably in Seattle's Capital Hill Autonomous Zone or CHAZ district, created in 2020 by BLM protestors who seized control of a police station and its surrounding area and established a community that existed outside the law.
An uncommon signed copy from the collection of the poet Nathaniel Tarn, a friend of the author. One of the most influential works of 20th century anarchist theory.
