Quarto size, [4] pp. This publication by the renowned San Francisco-based Grabhorn Press is a keepsake from the annual meeting of The American Institute of Accountants in 1939, and contains brief, humorous descriptions of some attractions in San Francisco and California's Pacific Slope. Laid in is a colour map of the gold regions of California, detailing various routes for those travelling to California.
Unaccountably scarce in the marketplace, as of this writing we see no other copies online.
___DESCRIPTION: Two sheets each folded once, stapled binding, lettering in black and gold with illustration in black on the front cover, floriated initial capital, colour map folded inside, titled "Map of the Gold Regions of California"; quarto size (10" by 6 1/2"), four unnumbered pages; the folding map measures 17 3/8" by 12 1/2" when open.
___CONDITION: Fine, clean and without noticeable wear; the map also fine, clean and without wear, with only original folds.
